Rewilder's Donation Campaign is Starting Soon
Donation campaign starts on Tuesday, Oct 12th, 12:00 AM GMT.
On Tuesday Oct 12th (six days from today!), we’ll conduct our first donation campaign. Mark your calendars, and keep reading to learn everything you need to know to participate.
What is Rewilder Foundation?
Rewilder Foundation is a new crypto-native non-profit that coordinates the global purchase of land for wildlife conservation. The project was originally proposed by @maraoz on his blog in May 2021 and since then, a team of volunteers has formed, a non-profit legal entity incorporated in the US, and our website was published in August 2021.
What are you fundraising for?
All funds raised will be pooled together to purchase land for passive rewilding at the best rates we can find. We'll create one unique donation receipt NFT per donor, which receives periodic updates about the land they helped purchase.
Once the land is purchased by our recently established foundation, we'll virtually divide the property according to the share of the total money contributed. Each NFT will be updated after the land purchase to contain information on a specific parcel inside the purchased land and an update feed.
How can I participate in the donation campaign?
Starting Tuesday, October 12, 2021 12:00:00 AM GMT+00:00, you’ll find instructions on our website (bookmark or save it to be extra safe):
You’ll need at least 1 ETH (our minimum donation amount for this campaign) and use Metamask or a WalletConnect compatible Ethereum wallet. The fundraising campaign will run for aproximately two weeks, so there’s no rush or need to feel FOMO. There will also be future opportunities to donate in the following years, so if you’re unsure about it, feel free to skip this campaign and join next year.
Beware of possible scam attempts. We have no social media accounts yet, and won’t attempt to contact you through any means other than this newsletter or our website. If you see something suspicious, or need help before donating, feel free to email us and we’ll do our best to respond in a timely fashion during the campaign.
That’s all for now. Hope to see you next week!
